A.D.A.M.`s Health and Wellness Suite Will Enable Leading Drugstore Chain to Provide a Greater Depth and Variety of Health Information to Its Web Site Users

ATLANTA – May 8, 2006 – A.D.A.M., Inc. (NASDAQ: ADAM) today announced that Walgreen Co. (NYSE, NASDAQ: WAG – News), the nation`s largest drugstore chain, has licensed its health and wellness suite of products to help further position the Walgreens.com site as a trusted resource for health consumers. The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

A.D.A.M.`s health and wellness suite provides information for every stage of care and features interactive and multimedia tools like health and wellness-related articles, in-depth care guides, health calculators and health risk assessments. The addition of these tools to Walgreens current Web site will significantly increase the depth and variety of health information – including Spanish-language health content – available to site users, thus providing more of an opportunity for these individuals to improve or maintain their health.

“We selected A.D.A.M. because the company has an excellent reputation for offering reliable and comprehensive health content, and the material will appeal to a wide variety of audiences,” said Tim McCauley, director of e-commerce for Walgreen Co. “With this expanded content, we are confident Walgreens.com will meet the growing need for online, reliable health information from a trusted source.”

“With the growth of consumer-directed healthcare, more and more consumers are using the Web as a resource for health and wellness, and we applaud Walgreens decision to expand its offering to include more interactive and multimedia tools,” said Greg Juhn, A.D.A.M.`s senior vice president of product strategy. “We feel these tools will not only help the company retain existing site users, but also attract new users.”
