New Version 3.3 Adds Shopping and Stock Search Capabilities
New York City-June 4, 2001-Comet Systems today released version 3.3 of the popular Comet Cursor software, which adds a Shopping Cursor and a Stock Cursor to the existing Dictionary, Encyclopedia, and Web Search Cursors. This is the latest development for the Comet Cursor software, which has been downloaded by over 75 million unique Internet users.
Comet Cursor version 3.3 expands greatly on the intelligent search capabilities of the previous version, giving consumers even more functionality to gather information right from their mouse pointer. The Shopping Cursor is able to deliver comparative pricing information for most products for sale on the Web, and the Stock Cursor is able to deliver stock prices and other information on publicly held companies.
With the larger library of search capabilities, the feature Smart Cursors has been renamed Comet Cursor Search. Comet Cursor version 3.3 therefore contains Comet Cursor Search as well as Fun Cursors, the classic cursor feature that enables users to personalize their cursors into any of more than 2,500 images.
Also new to Comet Cursor version 3.3 is the addition of the Comet Cursor Companion, a browser toolbar that gives convenient access to Comet Cursor Search. The Comet Cursor Companion appears at the top of the browser with a text entry bar, enabling users to type in any word or click on any word with their mouse pointer and perform any of five Comet Cursor Searches-Web Search, Shopping Search, Dictionary Search, Encyclopedia Search, and Stock Search. Results appear within seconds.
