Bealls Florida’s new head of merchandising
“We are thrilled to have Roselle leading our storied brand,” said Tianne Doyle, president of Bealls Inc., in a released statement. “She has a deep knowledge of the Florida guest and business, and broad exposure to multiple facets of the company, which make her an excellent candidate to lead Bealls Florida into the future.”
Thomas has worked at Bealls since 2010, when she arrived at the company as a merchandise assistant. Since then, she has led teams in areas including apparel, product development and strategy, wholesale businesses, environmental social governance and corporate services, according to Bealls.
Her title prior to the September announcement was vice president general merchandise manager for ladies apparel, accessories and beauty for Bealls Florida.
Thomas’s new role
Now overseeing merchandising strategy for Bealls Florida, Thomas will be responsible for initiatives at the 66 Bealls Florida locations, along with the BeallsFlorida.com website. There, she will be focused on driving loyalty among the brand’s in-state and visiting customers.
Bealls Inc. is based out of Bradenton, Florida, and operates Bealls Florida, in addition to the bealls and Home Centric retail brands. In total, these account for 650 stores across 22 states, according to the company.
The Bealls Florida brand emerged from a rebranding effort in 2023, where the parent company renamed its Florida Bealls Department Stores and Bealls locations. At the time, it also merged its Bealls Outlet and Burkes Outlet locations under the bealls name. That move followed the company’s successful acquisition of the Bealls name rights nationally from Stage Stores Inc.
