When discussing artificial intelligence with manufacturers and distribution companies, a common response is: “We are still trying to figure it out.” This sentiment highlights the uncertainty many B2B organizations face when determining whether AI is more hype than reality, and if machine learning can genuinely enhance productivity, efficiency, and sales.
The truth is many businesses are already leveraging AI tools effectively. New research from Reveal, a Chicago-based developer of AI applications, sheds light on these tools and their impact. Reveal compiled a list of AI-powered tools from online directories and ranked them based on average visit duration, aiming to identify which tools captured the most user engagement.
Using data from SimilarWeb, Reveal analyzed the top 100 tools with the highest organic traffic, focusing on those aimed at improving productivity. AI-powered business software Odoo topped the list, boasting an impressive average visit duration of 18 minutes and 18 seconds across 17.62 million monthly visits. This engagement was over four minutes longer than the next leading tool, and three times the duration users spent on ChatGPT.
Replit, a coding automation platform, came second, with an average visit duration of 13 minutes and 42 seconds over 7.54 million monthly visits. Data analysis platform Databricks followed closely, with users spending an average of 11 minutes and 43 seconds across 3.85 million monthly visits.
Collaboration tool Coda ranked fourth, holding users’ attention for an average of 9 minutes and 51 seconds over 3.37 million monthly visits. Gamma, a presentation platform, secured the fifth spot with an average visit duration of 6 minutes and 52 seconds.
Although ChatGPT ranked sixth for average visit duration at 6 minutes and 16 seconds, its sheer volume of traffic—2.4 billion monthly visits—makes it the AI-powered tool with the most total time spent by users, totaling 10.66 million days per month, according to Reveal.
Wendell Jisa, founder and CEO of Reveal, commented on the study: “AI models offer unprecedented opportunities for automating mundane tasks, enabling people to focus their efforts on more productive activities.”
