Farnia Ghavami is the executive vice president of digital strategy at Digital Commerce 360, where he has worked since 2008. Farnia has overseen many of Digital Commerce 360’s departments over the years including production, website, marketing, events, data and research. Farnia was born in Iran and came to America when he was 10 years old from Sweden, and began learning English as his third language, with Farsi and Swedish as his first two languages. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a kinesiology degree, but data, research and writing have always been his biggest passions.

James Risley is a Research Data Manager and Senior Analyst at Digital Commerce 360, helping to gather data and identify trends in the world of e-commerce. He also covers web-only brands selling directly to consumers, along with other emerging retailers selling online. He also usually spends too much time researching products before making a purchase and has the worst lawn on his cul-de-sac. He previously covered the tech boom in Seattle and has a M.S. in Journalism from Northwestern University.
